Diamagnetism

Unlike the other types of substantial magnetism (Ferromagnetism, Paramagnetism), diamagnetism occurs in the absence of unpaired electrons (in fact in all substances), and the induced magnetic moments will oppose an external magnetic field, leading the substance to be repelled by a magnet. This is however very weak when compared to the other two forms of magnetism, and as such a very strong magnet is usually required to achieve visible effects.
