Maxwell-Boltzmann statistics is applicable for a system of 𝑁 identical but distinguishable particles. The canonical partition function is given by

𝑍=(𝑍1)𝑁

where

𝑍1=∑𝑖exp⁡(−𝜀𝑖𝑘𝐵𝑇)

is the canonical partition function for a single particle.
