Rational numbers

The rational numbers $ℚ$ are the field of fractions of the $ℤ$ , #m/def/gen and are thus, in many ways, the most general field.

Properties

$𝑥 \in ℚ$ is integral over $ℤ$ iff $𝑥 \in ℤ$ , i.e. the algebraic integers of $ℚ$ are precisely $ℤ$ .
