Perfect code

A ๐‘ž-ary code C โІ๐‘†๐‘›๐‘ž of length ๐‘› in alphabet ๐‘†๐‘ž is said to be a perfect ๐‘’-error correcting code, or briefly a perfect code, iff1 #m/def/code

equivalently, C has a minimum distance 2๐‘’ +1 and covering radius ๐‘’. See also Quasi-perfect code.
